Windows 10: Computer is sluggish after Windows 10 updates

This happens pretty regularly. When my computer installs a Windows 10 update the last one being 2 days ago my computer runs a little sluggish for a few days afterwards. This seems to happen after just about every update. My browser runs a little slower, my email outlook runs slower, videos are a little choppy once they open, etc. It corrects itself after a few days but I'm stumped as to why it keeps happening. I have a 6 year old Acer so maybe that's part of it , but once the computer corrects itself, it runs very quickly. I don't do any gaming or high intensity computing on this computer, just regular browsing, email and Office programs.

Any ideas? Ask away if you need any specs from my computer.

PC Sluggish After Waking From Sleep

Another thing, some users have reported that the possible reason why their computers are sluggish is fast startup (enabled by default). We may try disabling the fast startup, then check if the issue will still occur. To do so, please follow the steps below:

• Open Power Options.
  
• Click Choose what the power buttons do.
  
• Under Shutdown settings, uncheck Turn on fast startup (recommended).
  
• Click Save changes.
  

And we also suggest checking the Processes and Performance in Task Manager if you feel your computer is sluggish.

Anyway , You are luckier than me. My computer was locked directly after updated to Windows 10 . but the solution is easy.

 

Windows 10 upgrade problem, no input accepted

I really hate having to come here and ask for help, but I really am stumped. It hurts my geek pride. I have a PC with fairly modern hardware in it. It has a p8p67 pro in it. I have tried upgrading windows 10 on it twice now. Both times I have had the same result.

After windows finishes upgrading it goes to the log in/set up screen. I can't do anything. No keyboard or mouse input is accepted.

I will list some, or hopefully all, of the troubleshooting steps I have tried:

• Move keyboard and mouse to different USB ports.
• Try different keyboard or mouse.
• Restart computer, repeatedly.
• Google for related issues.
• Update Bios, because why not.
• Create boot media and revert to windows 7.

The windows 10 system restore boot media works fine with keyboard and mouse. All USB ports work in windows 7. I don't know what is wrong. I suspect that windows 10 is lacking a driver of some sort, but since the computer accepts no input I have no way of checking for which driver let alone installing it.

Please help me figure this out. If I have to revert back to windows 7 again, I am not going to get it upgraded to windows 10. Thank you in advanced.
