  2. Printer isn´t working after latest update.

After the latest update from Windows, my Canon Pixma ip6600 printer isnt working. In Device Manager it shows up as working properly but when I go to print it isn´t listed as an option in any programs. Troubleshoot suggests it´s a USB 2 printer on a USB
3 port and that that´s the problem but that cant be since it worked fine before the update. I´ve tried to uninstall and plug it back in but that doesn´t work either.

Computer not sending signal to monitor on Windows 11

    Hi everyone,

I've been having connectivity issues and was wondering if someone could help me out.

My computer is not sending signal to my monitor. I've updated recently to Windows 11 (a month ago) but cannot roll-back to Windows 10.

To sum-up the issue, when I plug-in my computer to my monitor, my computer recognizes the monitor (it is displayed in Settings --> Display) but no signal is actually sent.

Here's what I've concluded and done so far:

    - It's not a faulty monitor because: 1/ I've tried my monitor with other computers, and it works perfect. It just doesn't work with my computer. 2/ I've tried my computer with another monitor of the same model, but different device: and same issue.

    - It's not a faulty port from my computer because: when connecting my computer to my television, it works perfectly fine. Also, when connecting my computer to the monitor, it does recognize the monitor. It's as if the monitor worked fine, except no signal is actually sent to the monitor. The monitor shows up under "Display" settings correctly, so my computer recognizes it perfectly, it just doesn't send signal.

    - It's not the Intel graphic cards driver as I've tried a clean install of them, also tried to roll-back different versions, but all of them lead to the same issue. I've also tried re-installing the Intel Serial IO drivers (though not "cleanly") but no success. Also tried rolling-back the Intel Serial IO drivers, but also unsuccessfully.

    - It's not the HDMI cable, as it works with other computers and the monitor. It also works between my computer and TV. I've also tried other cables just in case, but same behavior.

    - I've tried VGA connection as well (my monitor has a VGA port) but same issue.

    - I've made sure frequency rates and resolutions were aligned.

    - I've tried updating BIOS as advised by Intel support team.

Both devices (computer & monitor) are relatively recent (2018 and 2020) so we can also discard incompatibility due to old firmwares.

I've reached out to several support services, but none of them have been able to solve the issue. I've reached to the store who sold me the monitor, but they couldn't find (thus far) the issue, and they'll probably don't want to trigger the warranty, since the monitor isn't faulty, it's just incompatible with my computer.

I'm wondering if the issue would be there if I hadn't updated to Windows 11.

Has anyone experienced a similar issue before? Does anyone know where I can investigate further to get to the bottom of this?

I've tried looking into the "Generic Pnp" monitor drivers, which are used to connect to my monitor, but I've reached the bottom of my technical knowledge there, I'm not really sure what I'm looking for.

Hope this is clear and hope someone can help me in finding some answers. Buying a monitor that works well with every other computer except your own is a bit frustrating.

    All the best to everyone.

    Thanks,

    Clem

  4. Computer isn't sending out a signal to my monitor

PC boots up but monitor shows 'no signal' and keyboard not working.

'No signal' means that your monitor is not receiving a video signal that it can display. This is usually due to one of the following causes:

1- The cable going from your computer to your monitor is loose. Power off the monitor, re-attach the cable at both end, power on your monitor. (This step is N/A if you have a laptop or an AIO.)

2- The signal your graphics card is sending to your monitor can't be displayed by your monitor. Boot the computer to Safe Mode, choose a low resolution signal, restart your computer normally, switch to the 'Recommended' resolution for your monitor.

To change the signal resolution: Start > Settings > System > Display > Display resolution.

Your problem is not related to your BIOS, unless you made changes to the BIOS yourself.
