Starting off. I'm 100% its my cpu that's the issue. I've split up the parts into all my different builds and the problem only persists with that cpu no mater what build of windows or anything. I've tried under volting the cpu never done it before watched a video for it but feel uncertain because he was after a different goal in his video it was at 1.103 now I have it at 1.050 its crashed way less but it still does pretty often but since I under volted it now shows up 1 error code "MACHINE_CHECK_EXEPTION". id like to list the other error codes but I don't have them saved anywhere no more.spec

    :)

  2. Computer keeps crashing during gaming, and keeps throwing this code.

Hi, I've recently built a new pc, and everytime I play games I keep crashing. The system specs are i7 13700k, RTX 4080S, M.2 990 pro, 64 gb of Corsair vegeance 6kMHz, and all on a b760 gaming plus wifi from MSI. I should add I've rolled back nvidia drivers using DDU, used the windows 11 suggested driver after DDU and the lastest driver released on april 3rd, 2024; scf/scannow (nothing); Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth and Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth (not sure which one of these last two commands throws it but one throws an error 87).

Here is the code from event viewer for the last time I've played PUGB:

Faulting application name: dwm.exe, version: 10.0.22621.2506, time stamp: 0xdef1fe51

Faulting module name: unknown, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x00000000

    Exception code: 0xc0000005

    Fault offset: 0x0000000000000000

    Faulting process id: 0x0x4514

    Faulting application start time: 0x0x1DA8F9659D41A19

    Faulting application path: C:\WINDOWS\system32\dwm.exe

    Faulting module path: unknown

    Report Id: d10d38db-1496-4d88-ad61-d5433404a0ff

    Faulting package full name:

    Faulting package-relative application ID:

It is getting very frustrating. Any ideas or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

BSOD during gaming, plethora of different error codes!

Hello and welcome to TenForums computer keeps crashing. and throws up a different error code each time :)

The log files that you provided only show one crash dump file so there is not a lot of information to go on. Furthermore the bugcheck code is not one I have ever seen before!

The stack recorded in the dump includes some references to storage and the analysis suggests memory corruption and so with nothing else to go on I would suggest that you do a check on the hard disk and RAM. This maybe the same as you have already run but it would be good to see the results.

    Try CHKDSK
    using option 3
    Then

    Diagnostics Test [/i] HDD TEST
    *Arrow Run HDTune to
    • check the health,
    • scan for errors, no quick scan but full scan
    • run a benchmark.
It may take some time, but please take the time you need to perform it properly.
When above is done please make screenshots of the following
    • the health,
    • the error scan,
    • the benchmark incl. following
      • transfer rate,
      • access time,
      • burst rate,
      • cpu usage.

Similarly with a memory test it would be good to post the results after you have run memtest86+ for a minimum of 8 passes

You indicated that many more crashes have occurred, however, they are not being recorded. Please make sure that your system is setup to record crash dump files: Configure Windows 10 to Create Minidump on BSOD

If the BSOD errors are all different it does tend to suggest a hardware problem. Sorry I can't be more helpful.

BSOD during gaming, plethora of different error codes!

Here you go, the HD tune scans, did memtest but after 1.5hrs only one pass had been finished so will leave it on tonight again for more passes.
