    Computer keeps freezing after a recent Windows Update.


    Split from this thread. Windows update October 2024 broke my pcMy computer downloaded and installed a new Windows update earlier this month. Since that time my computer keeps freezing no matter what program is open. Its not the wifi issue mentioned above as working or trying to work within Word does not require wifi. Programs lock. The task bar locks. The task bar disappears. Then the computer will work for about three minutes, then it will lock again. Basically the update made my computer space junk. Checking task manager, it indicates that the memory is being overwhelmed, but nothing much
