    Computer keeps freezing and I have to power it off


    I'm not that tech smart. I have basic knowledge, of- well- code, but not the actual hardware. Anyway, I'm experiencing a problem where my computer freezes and I have to power it off, which is really annoying, especially when I'm working on something. This usually happens after I pause a video. Also, when my brother plays Roblox, he gets really laggy. Here are my specs.CPU: IntelR CoreTM i5-7400 @ 3.00GHzMemory: 16.0GB memory, DIMM whatever that meansGPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 SUPERI'm not sure what my motherboard is, but i think it was made by asus?Main Disk: KINGSTON SA400S37240G Seco

    Computer Keeps Freezing

    It froze again, and the common problem I see throughout most of the freezes is a driver atksgt.sys being blocked from loading. It is related to Tages Protection from Tages SA and it says it has a driver that is installed that causes stability problems with my system. It says it will be disabled but I think this is why my pc keeps freezing. Any suggestions as to what it may be for and/or if I can get rid of it and how?

    I never downloaded a program from Tages SA so I am not sure what it could be from.

    Windows 10 keeps freezing my computer randomly

    I have done these boilerplate "solutions" so many times the computer almost does them by itself.

    It does appear that Microsoft is making some small effort on the problem (without even admitting that it exists). Over the past 18 months I have noticed:

    • the interval between freezes has improved from about every 2 operating hours to about 12 hours, on average
    • the hard reset after a freeze no longer throws Win10 into one of its weird states from which it used have great difficulty recovering. Now when a freeze happens I can do power off, wait, power on and get a normal startup.
    So keep up the good work, guys. Our great-great-great-grandchildren will thank you for it.
