Windows 10: Computer keeps freezing every 8-10s

Hi all,


My computer seems to freeze around every 8s after I have been on it for around half an hour. The only quick fix I have found is to restart my computer whenever it starts to happen, if I don't do this the period my computer is frozen for seems to just increase.


My specs:

GPU: GTX 1070 ASUS

CPU: i7-7700k

Motherboard: Z270 GAMING PRO CARBON MS-7A63

RAM: Corsair Vengeance 16Gb 2x8 @2133MHz

OS Storage: Kingston SSD A400 Solid State Drive 2.5 Inch SATA 3, 120 GB

OS: Windows 10 home 10.0.18363 Build 18363


I have tried moving my OS to another SSD and reinstalling it completely, neither has worked.

Windows 10 Computer Randomly Freezes

Computer Keeps Freezing

It froze again, and the common problem I see throughout most of the freezes is a driver atksgt.sys being blocked from loading. It is related to Tages Protection from Tages SA and it says it has a driver that is installed that causes stability problems with my system. It says it will be disabled but I think this is why my pc keeps freezing. Any suggestions as to what it may be for and/or if I can get rid of it and how?

I never downloaded a program from Tages SA so I am not sure what it could be from.

• When does Windows 10 hangs/freezes? Is it after logging in to Windows? Or is it when you are using an application?
• Are there any third-party applications installed on your computer?
• Did you upgrade to Windows 10 from a previous version of Windows? If yes, which version of Windows was previously installed on your computer?
