Windows 10: Computer keeps Locking up and being generally unstable

So my computer has been repeatedly freezing and crashing over the last month and it has progressively gotten worse. It started as just a problem with Apex legends of all things but slowly evolved into crashing any program i have active on the computer and then the computer itself locking up, crashing, and restarting unprompted. I have tried to use my limited google skills to diagnose the problem to no avail.

I have NO idea what could be causing this.

I would post this in the BSOD forum but I am not lucky enough to get and actual blue screen.

computer keeps locking up...

him your computer locks up.... check what your running and see if it affects it cause this shouldn't happen it could be your ram or your mouse but i'm just giving a suggestion

• When you say that the computer keeps locking, does it happen due to inactivity or does it happen while you’re working on the computer?
  
• Does the computer go into sleep mode or does it lock the currently logged-in user account?
  
• After the computer is locked or after it goes into sleep mode, what happens when you try to sign in to your system or try to wake the system up?

Lock Screen keeps changing

Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

Windows Spotlight picks the photos from Bing and displays them in the lock screen. I understand that you have set a picture and it is getting changed automatically.

I suggest you to follow the steps to select the Picture that you want to be displayed on the lock screen. Please follow the steps mentioned below to set a Picture to lock screen:

1. Press and hold Windows + I key on the keyboard to open settings.
   
2. Click on Personalization.
   
3. Click on Lock screen.
   
4. Click on the drop down under Background and select
   Picture.
   
5. Click on Browse and select the picture that you want to set.
