    Computer keeps restarting after installing a new monitor. How do I fix this issue?


    My computer keeps randomly restarting. This started happening after I added a new HP M27h monitor. I have already uninstalled the Nvidia GEforce 210 video driver and reinstalled but the issue is still occuring. Here is the error message from event viewer The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x00000116 0xffffe40f18b99010, 0xfffff80687720b38, 0xffffffffc000000d, 0x0000000000000003.     Win 10 1607 Restart Issue


    I am having a Win 10 1607 restart issue.

    In my case the PC tries to restart but the monitor screen goes black and then the monitor screen powers off.

    The PC keeps running but will not restart.

    I have to push the reset button to restart the PC.

    Shut down works fine.

    In both restart and shutdown there are no spinning dots...

    Can any one help with this restart issue.

    I have tried most suggestions on the interwebz:////

    My next step is to go back to the previously installed version 1511 in which restart worked then do an upgrade from the 1607 ISO I downloaded.

    If this fails I will bite the bullet and do a clean install but I would rather just resolve the issue if I can as I have Win 10 running just the way I like it:///

    Really? I get a canned answer and nothing else? I posted that I had tried everything that I could find posted online. I did read the post that Andre suggested multiple times prior to posting this request for help. None of it helped.

    My computer does not recognize that there is a second monitor is plugged in. The small step of changing the settings so I can put stuff on the second monitor ISN'T the issue. I am not that dumb. in the device manager there is only the single monitor listed
    at one point there was a unknown device listed but my computer did not know if it was a monitor or a printer.

    There has to be someone out there that knows how to fix this

    Please Help
