    Computer keeps waking up

Recently my computer has started walking itself up every 2 hours pretty much on the dot and I can't figure out why. Powercfg/lastwake tells me nothing, I've disabled my lan driver from waking it up too. The only thing I've changed since it started happening was getting a new monitor, and setting up an oculus rift s. Can't figure out what's causing it.

Logitech M510 Mouse Keeps Waking Up Computer

    Hi,

It's always good to preserve your device's power by putting it on sleep mode. If your mouse is waking up the device, we suggest following the steps below as another workaround:

    • Press Windows Key + X and select Command Prompt (Admin) from the menu.
    • Once Command Prompt window opens, enter the following command: powercfg -devicequery wake_armed
    • You should be able to see the list of all devices that are allowed to wake up your computer. Enter
powercfg -devicedisablewake “device name” into Command Prompt to stop a device from waking up your PC. Remember to
replace “device name” with a name of the actual device. It’s also important to keep the quotation marks, so do not delete them.
    • You can also use powercfg -deviceenablewake “device name” command to enable certain device to wake up your PC, but it is optional. You can find the name of the specific device by using the Device Manager.

Keep us in the loop with the result.

    Network Card Keeps waking computer

    Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

I appreciate the efforts taken by you in resolving this issue. I understand that the network card wakes the computer. I’ll certainly help you with the issue.

However, please let us know the make and model of the computer to check any driver updates.

Meanwhile, I would suggest you to refer the steps mentioned below:

    1. Press Windows log key + X, and select Device Manager.
    2. Expand Network Adapters, right click on the network adapter and select
      Properties.
    3. Navigate to Power Management tab, and clear the checkbox for
Allow this device to wake the computer.
    4. Click on OK.

Also, I would suggest you to check if BIOS if there are any power management settings for hardware on your computer.

Note: Modifying BIOS/ complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) settings incorrectly can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from booting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that any problems
resulting from the configuring of BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Modifications of the settings are at your own risk.

    We await your response.

    Regards,
