    Computer loads into black desktop with only my cursor on it


    My computer recently started loading from the lock screen into a 100% blank screen except my cursor. Nothing seems to fix it except for constantly uninstalling the latest feature update, but now it's stopped letting me do that and suggest I reset my computer which I'd rather not do since I have nothing backed up.It will even boot into Safe Mode like this so I'm not sure what's causing it.

    win10 black screen and cursor but no password on acc still not loading


    I upgraded to windows 10 from windows 8 and not 8.1 with black screen and cursor I had no password so it should automatically load into account but it did not plus I tried ctrl key and enter plus all other key combinations but nothing and waited for half an hour. Please help all suggestions are welcomed!

    P.S. I can see the cursor and the loading windows logo so no imbecile answers like graphic card driver or monitor driver for god sake

    Desktop won't load after log-in, only shows black screen with mouse cursor.

    I recently updated to Windows 10 version 2004 the night prior to this post. Just now, I've observed an odd behavior.

    My computer boots up normally. I am brought to the lock screen to enter my pin. Upon key-in of my pin, I would be log-in to a black screen. This black screen would remain for minutes before my desktop would load.

    During the blackscreen, I still see my mouse cursor. I can still move it.

    I inserted a USB which prompted a window to open. I can interact with the window while my desktop remains as black screen. Also I can open applications by opening a file.

    Once my desktop loads, everything is normal. But when I restart my computer, the same thing happens. I've done this five times now. Desktop loads between 5 - 7 minutes from logging-in.

    Any fix?

    I     have tried following the steps of booting into safe mode, going into the control panel and uninstalling the latest windows update that caused the 'Windows black screen with cursor' error. However, now it wont even boot to the desktop, it will show 'Automatic repairs being done' and then automatically booting to safe mode. Upon checking my BIOS, the SSD drive with windows installed with it, is not even showing up in the boot list/priority. (still able to see drive in bios under System status and when checking under windows installation time.)
