    Computer Locks Up After Being Idle


    If I leave my PC idle for some time (not asleep) when I go back to it it's very slow The cursor movement is extremely laggy and I hear a beeping sound with every click (and the clicks do not register). I have to restart the PC, which is incredibly tedious. This happens very frequently.

    Bluetooth still on while idle

    Thanks for following the steps. Now, the settings won't take effect if you are only using normal PC idle mode. Normal functionality of Bluetooth and Wi-Fi settings are to stay connected even if PC is idle. With the settings that you have created, we would
    suggest that you set your PC to automatically go to Sleep or
    Hibernate     once idle. In this way, the settings "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" should take effect.

    To set your PC to automatically go to Sleep or Hibernate when idle, please follow these steps:

    • Open Control Panel, set view by: Small
      icons.
    • Look for Power Options.
    • Click on Change when the computer sleeps on the left pane.
    • Set a timer.

    computer keeps locking up...

    him your computer locks up.... check what your running and see if it affects it cause this shouldn't happen it could be your ram or your mouse but i'm just giving a suggestion

    Computer locks up when Idle???

    Well here's my theory... It has something to do with my network cause I can leave it on without AIM or Azureus running and it wont lock up, but as soon as I start one of them and let it idle, the system will eventually lockup... So can anyone think of what would cause those programs to lock my computer up? Keep in mind I've never had problems with them before. And yes it's a built in screensaver that came with windows, and the system will lock if I use the monitor off settings instead, as well...
