Windows 10: Computer locks when screen turns off. Can't fix post-2019.

So the screen goes into screen saver, and if I wiggle the mouse, it's fine, but when the screen shuts off without the whole computer sleeping, it requires a password when I wake the screen.

There used to be a setting for this. Now there isn't. I DEMAND the fucking computer NOT lock when the screen turns off. It MUST, however, retain locking functionality when the computer ACTUALLY sleeps or goes into hibernation.

It's a custom desktop. Legit key.

Different Lock Screen Picture When Turning On The Computer

Hi Bree. I went to that location and I apparently already have that option set to On. So I was hoping if taking it a step further would fix it, yet it didn't:

What I did was turn Off that setting, restarted the computer. Then after the computer finished loading, I went back to that setting location and turned it back On. I restarted the computer hoping that this 'probably' fixed the little bug, but nope, I accidentally forgot to cross my fingers, hence the Man Cave still haunts me.

Earlier this year, Xbox Music on WP8 was able to download music when the screen was locked. This was great because I'd search Music and download overnight to listen offline the next day. I have noticed now that the screen needs to be unlocked and active
for the downloads to happen. If the display turns off, or locks, the downloads pause and resume when the phone is unlocked or is in use.

Am I missing a setting, a trick, to get this working again? I've searched and haven't come across anything. Surely I'm not the only one??

Keep lock screen on (don't turn off display)


This is an odd request, but my mom would like this and I can't figure out how.

Is there a way to prevent the screen from turning off when the computer is locked? She likes her lock screen images but the screen turns off after 30 seconds or so when locked. (I tried telling her to use desktop wallpaper, but she likes the lock screen better.)
