Windows 10: Computer loses connection to internet if kept on long enough

Hi, I have noticed this problem with my pc. If the computer is left on long enough, either sleeping or in use, it loses the ability to connect to the internet. In the case that it is in use, all applications aside from the one currently in use will suddenly stop using internet. The settings say that I am connected and have access to the internet and troubleshooting can’t find an issue, but no application is able to connect. I have already gone into the device manager and disabled the power saving options for my wireless adapter and it did not fix the problem.

Method 1: Run the Internet Connections troubleshooter.

Follow the below steps:

1. Type troubleshooting in the search bar.

2. Select Troubleshooting.

3. Select View all on the top left corner.

4. Click on Internet Connections.

5. Follow the on-screen instructions to run the troubleshooter.

If the issue persists then follow the below method.

Method 2:

I suggest you to update the Network adapters driver from the Device Manager.

Follow the below steps:

1. Right click on Start button and click on
Device Manager.

2. Expand the
Network adapters driver from the list.

3. Right click on the driver and click on
Update driver Software.

Connecting computer with no internet connection to network printer

1. Open Admin command and type: ipconfig
   
   
   
2. Win+X->Control Panel->Netwok and Sharing Center
   Follow the screen shot. This should disable internet access from this PC but allows access to local device(s)
   NOTE: Use the IP & Subnet Mask from step 1. Leave Default gateway & DNS Server blank
