Windows 10: Computer minimizes anything in fullscreen

Good evening, recently I have encountered an issue where my PC will attempt to minimize anything that I have open in fullscreen mode. At first I believed that my Cursor was tracking off screen and that was causing the issue, but also noticed that the issue would also occur even when not using my mouse at all such as watching a movie in fullscreen mode because the taskbar will repeatedly draw over the screen. I have attempted to fix the issue by taking my computer out of Gaming Mode and have tried reading through the event manager in order to try and resolve the issue. The only thing that

Prevent Fullscreen games from minimizing?

I've been playing an ARPG called Path of Exile lately, and the game seems to run way smooth in Fullscreen mode than it does in Windowed Fullscreen. The only problem I have is if a window pops up outside of the game, it'll minimize the game and pull me out of it. Since I'm playing a hardcore character, this is potentially deadly and a situation I'm looking to avoid. Is there any way possible to prevent another window from taking focus and minimizing another program like the game I'm trying to play?

I have read your last thread: Fullscreen apps minimize automatically. - Microsoft Community I understand that you have not resolved the issue by uninstalling updates, updating your graphics drivers, and that you do not want to go through the aggressive restore reinstallation steps prematurely.



I can understand that the current issue is causing you ongoing distress and I will assist you in resolving the issue as best I can.



You mentioned that you have tried modifying the registry, did you modify the registry for the following path:

What exactly is the make and model of your computer? Please share with me if it's convenient.



Is this problem only with full screen games? Does the problem occur when you watch videos in full screen?



Please try replacing your keyboard or an external keyboard to see how the problem behaves.



You mentioned in the last thread that your issue was after KB5029351 was installed. Did you install the KB5030219 update that was rolled out on September 12? Please check in Settings - Windows Update to see if there is a new available update and install it to the latest.



In order to troubleshoot third-party apps interfering with the process, we recommend that you check the problem manifests itself in Safe Mode first. Start your PC in safe mode in Windows - Microsoft Support (If you need a network to start the game, select Safe Mode with Networking)

Fullscreen apps minimize automatically.

All games and applications with Fullscreen mode minimize automatically and frequently during use. I have tried numerous fixes from turning game mode off to changing registry settings. My graphics drivers and windows version are up to date. Apps are required to be ran in either windows mode, or borderless mode.
