Windows 10: computer name always truncated wherever seen

I have several PC's with bitdefender software . All my PC's have long names . I am beginning to notice truncated names which is unbelievable given theendless gimmicks windows 11 forces down your throat despite not needing them .Yet when I want something as simple as seeing THE ENTIRE COMPUTER NAME .....that appears to be asking too much !!!Instead I can only see a piece of it ! Unbelievable !This morning I transferred a file from my phone over bluetooth and it took an entire hour to find where windows 11 put the stupid file !It appears windows 11 ....without asking ....hid the file by burying

Setting up new computer with Windows 10 - my user name is truncated

This problem has been asked on this forum several times, and none of the suggested responses have worked. Ludicrous that this bug is 3 years old with no clean solution. My computer provided 'there' as my user name, which is a truncated version of my first
name. Can't change it. Have spent hours setting up my computer so I don't want to sweep it clean just to get the user name right. It never asked me what I wanted it to be!!!!

 

Address country truncated?

I sync from Outlook -> Nokia 6300 -> Second copy of Outlook



I've just noticed that the country name is getting truncated during the first sync so...



"United States of America" becomes "United States of Ame"



Anyone else seen this or able to suggest what I did wrong or how I can fix this?

Fixing the truncated user name in Windows 11

How do I fix the truncated user name in Windows 11? Searching the forums, I find a topic titled with Win 11, but the screens and instructions are for Win 10. I also read the truncation comes about because Windows could not sign in while I was initializing the Win 11 (new install). I don't believe that was the case for me, the internet was always available and getting on my network was part of the initialization process. Is there any way to use my full name on my user account? My old computer using Win11 home had no problem, the user name was my full name from the start. I tied the registry approach as outline in the post I mentioned above, but it just screwed up my computer, forcing me to reload windows. Why is something so simple so complicated to do?
