    Computer no longer staying awake


    Greetings, I can’t find a forum for the command line, so I hope this is the right place. I can’t find anyone else with the same problem.I am having trouble keeping my computer awake. I have created a batch file to back up my laptop. It takes several hours for the script to run, so the computer needs to stay awake during this time. I did this by changing the Power Scheme from Balanced to Best PerformanceComputer no longer staying awake :powercfg /setactive SCHEME_MINThis worked for years on Windows 10. However, I have bought a Windows 11 computer, and it no longer works. My computer goes to sleep after a few minutes,

    Windows 10 can't stay awake

    Grep and Kapil,

    Thank you for your help. I was not able to get the Windows 10 to stay awake the configured 30 minutes. But, going through the steps provided, I was able to improve Windows staying awake from 2 minutes to 11 minutes. Why 11 minutes? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

    easy way to stay awake?

    The best way to try and stay awake is to not try and stay awake.
    If i try to sleep i don't sleep and vice versa.

    Windows 10 can't stay awake


    My computer won't stay awake either, and once it goes into sleep I cannot get it out of sleep without manual restart, this is really a pain, I updated graphics driver as I saw that as a suggestion but it didn't help. Hoping an update/fix comes soon.
