But the system wil boot up and hangs on the windows screen.
Or is it rebooting over and over again

When did you install the geforce card before or after 10 januari, because i find no nvdia drivers in your driverlist.

    Hi there,

Sorry, the computer is just hanging on the Windows screen, it does not progress from there.

I installed the graphics card after the 10th of January. However, I was experiencing BSODs and freezes long before then.

    Many thanks.

i suggest a few things to do

    Test your HDD
Check/analyse the integrity of your HDD you can use Sea Tools
Download from here SeaTools for DOS and Windows - How to Use - Windows 7 Help Forums

Put your PSU in another good working system ( or a friends system) and see if that system also BSOD and freezes. Than you now the PSU is faulty.
But that does not explain why the system won't boot into windows.

Searching on the net about internal power error i found people also had this bugcheck with a AMD GPUcard. It seems that a windows update changed the driver and the system keep rebooting from within windows. Disabling the card and reinstallling solved this.
But your system won't boot into windows so probably this is not aplying to your problem.
But you could try to set in your BIOS your integrated display at first and see if the system then hopefully will boot in windows.

Computer Not Booting, Multiple BSODs and Hardware Errors

    Hi there,

Sorry about the long delay but I have been very busy this weekend. As stated in my first post in this thread, I have already tested the HDD with SeaTools, but I don't think this could be an issue as booting from DVDs/CDs is just as problematic.

Unfortunately, I cannot see myself having the time or confidence to swap my PSU temporarily to test it.

I cannot find any setting to switch to integrated graphics in my UEFI. However, as I was having freezes and BSODs before installing my new graphics card, I cannot see that this is the issue.

Would it still be worth my time removing my graphics card and trying to boot from integrated graphics?

Sorry I have not posted for so long,

Many thanks for your help so far. *Smile
