Windows 10: Computer not completing boot up

I have used my computer for several months now. I recently moved, and so shipped it across the US; when I set it back up, it ran 'auto repair' and stated that it could not start my pc. I restarted several times and now it says:

Recovery
Your PC/Device needs to be repaired

The operating system couldn't be loaded because the system registry file is missing or contains errors.


File: \Windows\system32\config\system

Error code: 0xc0000225



Restarting brings me back to this screen.


If I press F8 and launch in recovery mode > troubleshooting > advanced options:
everything fails or says:

You need to sign in as an administrator to continue, but there aren't any administrator accounts on this PC.


Any help is appreciated.

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

Unable to boot the computer.

  What is the make and model of your computer?
  

I suggest you check if you are able to boot into Windows Recovery Environment using installation media. Follow the steps provided below and check.

• • Insert the installation USB and boot Windows 10 from it.
  • In the ‘Windows setup’ page select the ‘language to install’, ‘Time and currency format’ and the ‘keyboard or input method’ and click on ‘next’.
  • Click on ‘Repair your computer’ and select ‘Troubleshoot’.

Check if you are able to boot to this window. If you are unable to boot to this window, I suggest you to contact the manufacturer and check.
