  1. Computer not Detecting Audio Devices and Acting Weird at Startup After Installing New CPU

Hello guys I recently had to replace my CPU and it all went well. For a while everything seemed great. The computer booted up and worked wonderfully. However, the next time I turned it on something weird happened. The computer starts out completely normal, but then about 20 seconds in:

    • The mouse stops working
    • The keyboard stops working but the rgb lights stay on
    • The lights on the RGB fans in the case stop working but the fans stay on
    • The audio doesn't work, and no audio device that I plug in shows up including microphones.

The monitor stays on and icons/videos can still move on the screen.

If I turn the computer off and on again or restart it all of the issues besides the audio are 100% fixed and I am able to pretty much use the computer like normal until I turn it off for any length of time. However, the audio doesn't work no matter what.

I've tried updating and uninstalling/reinstalling the audio drivers.

    My specs are:

    Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 1500x Quad-Core Processor 3.50GHz

    GPU: NVIDIA GTX 1060

Motherboard: ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. PRIME B350-PLUS

My question is, does anybody know about this problem and how to fix it? Thank you!

    :)

  2. No audio devices detected

So, after upgrading to Windows 10, my computer no longer detects any audio devices.

Device manager only detects nvidia hd audio
Playback devices only detects nvidia hd audio

After installing realtek drivers, realtek is nowhere to be found - no icon in system tray, no realtek device in device manager etc.

USB headphones work fine, just dont have any support for rear panel audio jacks, have disconnected front panel audi connector, installed fress win10 copy, still nothing

  3. After a clean re-install of Windows 10, no audio devices are detected. How can this be fixed?

    Hello,

As you receive the error message: Audio services not responding', this might have occurred due to the audio services.

I suggest you to restart the service, set it to automatic and check if it helps.

Step 1: Stop the Windows Audio service.

    • Press Windows Key + R on the keyboard and type
      services.msc
      , Services window gets opened.
    • Search for Windows Audio service, right click on it and click on
      Stop.
    • Restart the computer.

Step 2: Start the service and set it to automatic:

    • Press Windows Key + R on the keyboard and type
      services.msc
      , Services window gets opened.
    • Search for Windows Audio service, right click on it and click on
      Properties.
    • Start the service, set
      Startup type to Automatic.

Also, I suggest you to download the audio drivers from the manufacturer's website, install the drivers manually and check if it helps.

Refer to the article by Andre Da Costa to install the drivers and check if it helps.

Hope it helps. Reply to the post with an updated status of this issue for further assistance.

    Thank you.

Computer not Detecting Audio Devices and Acting Weird at Startup After Installing New CPU

Windows Audio Device Graph Isolation using high CPU

    I already tried
    asking
    this in the HP Forum.

After the October update (version 1809) installed, this process has been using all of my CPU:

    Windows Audio Device Graph Isolation

    %winDir%\System32\audiodg.exe

    I've taken several
    troubleshooting
    steps:

    I tried running the HP
    Audio Check
one click fix (version 1.0.1.8). It found "One or more audio service isn't running" and fixed them. However, the next time I restart, the process is using 100% of my CPU again. Same thing with the Windows Playing Audio troubleshooter.

    There is a
    Hotfix
for previous versions of Windows, but not Windows 10. There are no conflicts in Device Manager. A YouTube video

() suggests removing all audio drivers and restarting, but that didn't help either.

Is there anything else I can try?

    Thanks,

    Shane.
