Windows 10: Computer not finding my specific WiFi even though other devices do

For about 3 days now I’ve been trying to get my computer to find my specific wifi. My internet provider, Spectrum, changed my modem back to its origional settings without informing me. However, my phone and other devices can find it with ease and connect. Only my computer won’t.


I use an extender from Netgear which has its bumps but usually works. It has been able to find the wifi through their website but doesnt give me the option to type in a password when asked for one.


My computer will sometimes show 1 or 2 wifi networks with very weak connections, however, they are not mine. I feel as if I’ve done everything to fix it over 3 days but i still can’t connect.

Would you please suggest Portable small WiFi Storage device with Maximum WiFi range ?

The smallest I know is this





Is there anything better than this which has maximum Wifi range? For example can it play movie from 30 meter distance ? From other room ?

WiFi bars are low on my computer but my other computer WiFi bars are high

Since the devices are in the same location and one device is getting a low signal, we would like to further clarify the concern with the following questions below:

• The computer that is getting a low signal, is it connecting using a external WiFi adapter or does it have a the WiFi built in?
• If you are using a external WiFi adapter, have you attempted to plug the device in another port on your computer?
• What troubleshooting steps have you attempted?

Can not find WIFI device after W10 Creator update

This issue may have occurred due to corrupted drivers. Since you already performed some troubleshooting steps, and the drivers are not even listed in device manager, we suggest that you follow these steps to make the missing drivers visible again:

• Right click the Windows icon and select Device Manager.
• Click the View Tab at the top of the Device Manager window.
• Put a checkmark on Show hidden devices.
• Check if it made your drivers visible. Try to uninstall and reinstall your drivers afterwards.
