Windows 10: Computer not recognizing D Drive: WD Blue SA510 2.5 1000GB

I tried to install Destiny 2 on this drive and within seconds the drive stopped being recognized by my computer. Steam instantly returned the message that the program was installed on a device that's not connected to the computer. Tried troubleshooting and I can still view it in device manager through hidden devices, but it says its not connected and its drivers are up to date. Strangely enough I had this issue once before after playing Overwatch, though last time it fixed after about an hour once I uninstalled battle.net and all associated files.

Solid state drive WD Blue SA510 500GB connected by USB input don't work to get a state I can format SSD

Solid State Drive WD Blue SA510 connected via USB input port will not be recconnaissed by usb drive on my

desktop PC with windows 7 . So I can'nt format the SSD disk.

WD Purple or Blue?

Agreed one of the most common failed drives I get into the shop are failed WD Blues or any of the 500GB slim 2.5" drives. Brand doesn't matter on those.
