Computer now says it isn't Bluetooth compatible and will not let devices connect, but...

To be more specific; I'm an artist and I use a Wacom Intuos Pro M drawing tablet, which connects to the computer via Bluetooth. It was working perfectly fine yesterday, but this morning, the tablet would turn on but the computer wouldn't respond to the pen for the tablet (which moves the cursor). I checked my Bluetooth settings and saw that it was still under the "Mouse, keyboard, & pen" category, but it said under its name "Bluetooth is turned off," and didn't let me remove the device. Something else to note is that the switch to turn Bluetooth on and off was gone too.

I thought it was the tablet causing the issue, so I went to Wacom's website to troubleshoot. My driver was updated, the tablet was fully charged, and I tried to reconnect it to the computer, but when I went to add a device, the computer didn't detect anything.

I then ran troubleshooting for Bluetooth, and the result was "Device does not have Bluetooth," with "Bluetooth is not available on this device" under that.

The detailed info is as follows:

I'm sure the easy answer to anyone else familiar with tablets will be to just connect it to the computer with the wire, but with the way I set up my desk and my USB ports already, I'd have to sacrifice another port for it while the tablet was already plugged into the wall (and very unprofessional opinion, but the way I set it up just looks a lot nicer and getting the wire out from under my desk is a pain. After writing that part I went for it anyway and banged my head on a shelf in the process, and the result is... [https://imgur.com/a/n1daGBM] yeah, I'll pass).

For more specifics, the computer I'm using is an ASUS FX53V laptop, Windows 10, x64.

Sorry if this is too much information or not enough, I typically don't ask for help since I find answers quickly, and I figured more info would be helpful.

    :)

  2. My Bluetooth phone can"t find my computer device

    Hello Faroozandeh,

Thanks for posting your query to Microsoft forum.

I request you to refer the following methods:

Method 1: Use the hardware troubleshooter to fix the issue

The Hardware Troubleshooter is an automated tool which will check the hardware connected to the computer for any known issues with it and provides the details and on how to fix them. Follow these steps and run the troubleshooter.

    Follow these steps:

    • Press Windows key to get the Start menu.
    • Type Troubleshooting in the search box right up corner and press Enter key.
    • Click on Troubleshooting tab.
    • Click on view all option on the upper left corner.
    • Select the Hardware and Device options from the list.
    • Click Next to run the Hardware and Device Troubleshooter.

Method 2: Update the Bluetooth drivers.

Step 1: Check for the latest driver update through Windows Updates.

    • At the Start screen, type Windows Update.
    • Click or tap Settings on the right side of the screen, and then select Install optional updates from the left results.
    • When the Windows Update control panel opens, click on “Check for Updates” on the top left corner to receive a fresh list of updates.
Incompatible or not properly installed graphics card drivers are the most common cause of this issue.

Step 2: Follow the steps below to update the sound drivers.

    • Press Windows + X key on the keyboard.
    • Go to device manager.
    • Right-click your Bluetooth devices.
    • Click Update Driver Software and then follow the steps in the wizard that appears.
    Restart the computer and check.

Step 3: Check in compatibility mode.

Download the Bluetooth drivers from the manufacture's website for Windows 10, if not available.

Follow these steps to install the drivers in compatibility mode and check if that helps.

    • Download the driver from the manufacturer’s website.
    • Right-click on the driver setup file and click on ‘properties’.
    • Click on the ‘compatibility’ tab and check the box ‘Run this program in compatibility mode for’ and select operating system from the drop down menu and proceed with the installation.
    • Once this is done, restart the computer and check if the issue persists.

  3. Printer isn´t working after latest update.

After the latest update from Windows, my Canon Pixma ip6600 printer isnt working. In Device Manager it shows up as working properly but when I go to print it isn´t listed as an option in any programs. Troubleshoot suggests it´s a USB 2 printer on a USB
3 port and that that´s the problem but that cant be since it worked fine before the update. I´ve tried to uninstall and plug it back in but that doesn´t work either.

Bluetooth device paired but not connected

    Hi Zuhair,

There might be a compatibility issue with your Bluetooth headset which causes it not to connect to your computer.
For us to isolate the issue, we will need to ask you a few questions:

    • When is the last time that you were able to connect your Bluetooth headset to your computer?
    • Does the same issue happen when you connect another Bluetooth device to your computer?

We would also recommend that you check out this
link this will provide you steps on how to troubleshoot Bluetooth problems in Windows 10. In case the same issue occurs,
it would be best that you visit your headset Bluetooth manufacturer website so you can download the updated drivers that will be compatible with your device.

Feel free to contact us if you have further inquiries.
