Windows 10: Computer randomly decides to freeze completely requiring a hard restart every time pressing...

Hello there, as the title says my PC decides to randomly freeze at times completely requiring me to restart it through pressing the power button on my tower which is entirely frustrating. I've tried to remedy the issue by opening command prompt with admin privileges and scanned with system file checker 1 time and repaired what was needed as well as made sure the version of Windows 10 on my machine was updated and restarted yesterday. It persisted still so I decided to do another file check the same way today and it has not solved my issue. I was wondering if anyone could help remedy this probl

Windows 10 freezes randomly

I had already tried turning off fast startup, to no avail.
Will look at the list you provided, thanks. Hard to do when computer freezes on the Windows loading screen though. *Biggrin

I had tried that as well... no result.

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

Random Computer Freezing - Need to hard restart after freezing No BSOD

I'm going to post two different scenarios that happens when my computer needs a hard restart

1. My computer freezes completely (literally no movement on the screen or anything, it's not slow it's frozen). And an extremely loud buzzing sound comes out of my headphones or speakers.
2. The same thing as above except without the loud buzzing noise.

I saw that this happened to someone else who had both the speakers and the headphones plugged in at the same time. However, scenario #2 just happened to me 10 minutes ago even though I only had my headphones plugged in.

I built this computer six months ago and it's the first computer I've ever built. I assume it's a driver issue but I can't really pinpoint the problem since no BSOD appears on the screen and I have no higher computer knowledge.
