  1. Computer randomly dropping local connections

    Have multiple laptops within a company that will randomly stop being able to access resources on the local network. If an ipconfig /release and renew get run, the connections return but will drop off at random intervals.

    Outside internet access works fine the whole time.

    When the local connections stop working, accessing the resources via FQDN, public IP, or local IP all fail. Again outside internet continues to work just fine.

    I have no idea what could cause this, as a lot of the computers never have this problem. Different model laptops, and different wireless adapters have had this issue.

    All computers are running the latest Windows 10 pro build.

    Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

    Edit: There are no IP conflicts on the network.

    :)

    As stated, I don't know much about computers, but looking at the HTML file, its safe to assume the driver isn't working properly even though I uninstalled and reinstalled it correct?

    Internet connection dropping

    I had already tried this and it did not work. I did find an updated driver for my adapter (Realtek) and so far no more problems. Thanks for the suggestion!

    1. Open Admin command and type: ipconfig

    2. Win+X->Control Panel->Netwok and Sharing Center
      Follow the screen shot. This should disable internet access from this PC but allows access to local device(s)
      NOTE: Use the IP & Subnet Mask from step 1. Leave Default gateway & DNS Server blank
