Windows 10: Computer randomly freezes dead

Good evening!


I seem to be having a huge issue with my computer that isn't far from keeping me up at night at this moment.


For some reason, it doesn't matter what I'm doing on my computer be it playing games, browsing the internet etc. but it just has moments when it drops dead the screen freezes, the mouse doesn't give any input even though it is backlit and looks like it's working, same story with the keyboard when I'm trying to Ctrl Alt Delete.. I have had something very fishy happening a few days back. I went out of my house for a few minutes and left my computer on of course and when I came back the screen was black which was weird because my settings dictate the computer to display an image indefinitely. The story of my mouse and keyboard were just the same as the recent jazz.

Having done a bit of research, it's hard to tell what it could be. Some say it's windows 10 some say other things. Most of the discussion threads I came across are also of people whose problem wasn't exactly the same as mine. I tried hitting up reddit for a solution but nobody knows what it could be.


All I know to this day basically is that I am anxious as to whether my hardware just got botched or it's just windows 10 having problems.

Windows 10 freezes randomly

I had already tried turning off fast startup, to no avail.
Will look at the list you provided, thanks. Hard to do when computer freezes on the Windows loading screen though. *Biggrin
