  1. Computer randomly freezing

my computer, probably since I've had it, freezes randomly on the regular. It's happened for a few years now and I've tried a number of things to try to fix it, none of which helped. I'm getting really sick of it so I'd like to try to put an end to the issue for good.
Could it be the power supply?

    I have a custom build:
    OS: Windows 10 Pro 64-bit
    CPU: Intel Core i7 5820K
    RAM: 16.0GB (2x8GB) @ 1199MHz
Motherboard: MSI X99S SLI PLUS (MS-7885)
Video Card: 4095MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 (EVGA)
Hard Drive: 931GB Seagate ST1000DX001-1NS162 (Hybrid Drive)
    PSU: 650W
    Optical Drive: TSSTcorp CDDVDW SH-224DB

    I have tried:
    Reinstalling windows
    updating graphics drivers
setting hard drive to never turn off in power settings
    checking integrity of windows files
    underclocking cpu
    running a memory check
setting my virtual memory to a fixed amount (I read it on a guide somewhere)

I had tried that as well... no result.
