Windows 10: Computer randomly gets stuck going to sleep

Randomly my Windows 10 computer has gotten stuck while going into sleep mode. The monitor shuts off and the hard drive will stop making noise except now and then, but all lights and fans keep running and it never actually shuts off even if it's left all night. The last things in Event Viewer were just a "SetSuspendState" event, no errors or anything. I couldn't look up anything about this because pretty much all the results were for computers getting stuck waking up from sleep mode, and the few relevant results had few and unhelpful answers. It does not seem to be related to how much memory or cpu is being used when the sleep command is given, is all I've been able to determine. Can anyone help with this at all?

Computer Randomly Turns on From Sleep

I only saw this thread now, otherwise I would have suggested this sooner.
I had that same problem you are having, my computer was waking-up from S3 and the culprit was my X7 mouse.
powercfg -lastwake also listed the HID keyboard device which was an extension of the mouse.
Besides going in device manager and setting everything to not being able to wake-up the computer from S3, I also did this to the power profiles:



Worked for me.

 

PC going into sleep mode randomly even if in use

I downloaded and installed the display driver with no luck. It's still going into sleep mode randomly.

Any other suggestion I can try? Thanks

Sleep mode is designed to stop all actions on a computer as it puts the device to a low-power state. Since you want to continue using a program even while your computer is locked, we suggest turning off Sleep mode by following these steps:

• Click Start.
• Go to Settings.
• Click System.
• Choose Power & Sleep from the left pane.
• Under Sleep, choose Never.
