Windows 10: Computer rebooting every night

In the event viewer I find this...The process wininit.exe 127.0.0.1 has initiated the restart of computer HEATHER on behalf of user NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM for the following reason: Legacy API shutdown Reason Code: 0x80070000 Shutdown Type: restart Comment: Details ------------ Log Name: System Source: User32 Event ID: 1074 Level: Information User: NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM Task Category: null Logged: 2/4/2024, 9:00:56 PM Can someone please help me track this down so I can stop it. It happens every night between the hours of 8pm and 1am.

If you want to avoid this and save your work, then I'd use Hibernate which writes the open session to the hard drive and then powers off so it can't be restarted:

Thank you for the suggestion, but that setting was already turned on. And the items are shown on jump lists for the day. They just disappear over night. -John

 

reboot/freeze problem

my computer runs fine for about 20-30 minutes and then reboots/freezes(sometime it reboots, sometimes it freezes)
i have an evga 680i A1 board, 4x1gig xms2 dhx, q6600, 2x8800ultra's, 2x150gb raptors, pci-e wireless n card.

i have tried running the computer at stock speeds and voltages and have the same problem, so it's not an overclock issue.

it seems to be a software problem. but where do i start? the computer run @3.6ghz can run all night(9hours) orthos stable, but when im using it, it locks up every 20-30 minutes.

any suggestions?
