    Computer refuses to pick up voice from any headset I use except when I use Bluetooth


    I'm on Windows 10, using Realtek AudioA few weeks ago my microphone just stopped working on anything I use. The computer reads it as plugged in but it does not pick up my voice at all.I've tried both ports on the PC and using a new headset but that doesn't work so it's not the headset or the ports.I've tried privacy settings, device manager, reinstalling drivers, troubleshoot option, checking every setting I can find and even restoring to a backup, basically every solution Google gave me. I went and got a bluetooth for my computer and when I use it, the computer does pick up my voice but won

    Bluetooth Headset connecting as Voice only

    As so many have had issues over the years I am having an issue with my bluetooth headset (Open Run by Shokz) connecting to my PC for music/stereo.

    It will only connect as 'voice' and is horrible quality audio and only 1 channel.

    As per a previous thread, I have followed all step with nothing working. I will paste below all steps I have taken:

    Please try following and check after each step

    1. Run Troubleshooters for Bluetooth and Hardware & Devices
    Type troubleshoot in Windows Starts Search box (Cortana) > Troubleshoot
    1.1 Click Bluetooth and run the troubleshooter
    1.2 Click Hardware & devices and run the troubleshooter

    **No change in result

    2. Take actions related to Bluetooth driver
    Windows Key+X > Click Device Manager > Expand Bluetooth > Right click on entry below >

    A. Rollback the Driver
    Click Properties > Go to Driver tab > If there is rollback option, click it

    **No rollback option

    B. Uninstall the Driver
    Uninstall > Reboot the computer > The driver will be installed automatically when you restart

    **no change in issue.

    C. Update the driver
    Click Update Driver Software > Click Browse my computer for driver software > Click Let my pick from a list of device drivers on my computer > Choose the driver > Click Next to update > If this does not work, select Search automatically for the updated driver in place of Browse my computer for driver software > Restart your computer

    **no change in issue.

    D. Update driver from manufacturer's website
    Go to the website of the display adapter's manufacturer or computer's manufacturer > See if some driver is released for your model and OS > If yes, download that > In previous option, you click Update Driver Software, in place of this, click Uninstall > Install the downloaded driver > Restart your computer"

    **no change in issue.

    3. Head to following Microsoft help on Bluetooth issue and execute the steps there

    4. Restart Bluetooth Support Service
    Windows Key+R > Type services.msc > Enter > Once the Services window opens, locate Restart Bluetooth Support Service > right-click > Restart.

    No change in issue.

    After so, right-click on it again, choose Properties, then ensure startup type is on Automatic

    I have also followed steps to try to set it as default but can not. I have followed several different threads and tried everything listed and nothing changes the outcome. For clarity, I have had bluetooth connected headset work, but it now only connects voice also.

    Hi there, the E60-1 is a relatively old handset to look at, all Eseries and Nseries handsets have SIND or speaker independant name dialing which means that you do not need to program any voice commands but that each and every contact in your contact list
    is automatically voice activated and does not depend on who uses the phone.

    A bluetooth headset can also make use of this function by pressing the "answer" button until one beep is heard and then saying the full name of the person you want to call.

    I would suggest looking at the E66-1 possibly or even the E51-1 Computer refuses to pick up voice from any headset I use except when I use Bluetooth :)
