Windows 10: computer restarts on shutdown

About 6 months ago, immediately after a Windows 11 automatic update, the computer began to restart on its own after shutdown. I could see that this question has been asked here hundreds or thousands of time. The suggested solutions were 1 to turn off fast shutdown, 2 to set a registry entry to 0, and 3 to uncheck a box in device manager, network adapters, power management for allowing the defice to restart the computer. None of these helped for me or many others. In my case, 1 fast shutdown was already off, 2 the key was already 0, and 3 the box wasn't checked or didn't even exist

Try clearing page file at shutdown:

CAUTION: This dramatically slows down shutdown times but hopefully it solves your problem.
