Windows 10: Computer Restarts Randomly.

Lately my computer has been restarting a lot, and I mean a lot, for no reason at all. I've ran all the troubleshooters and have the latest version if Windows, but it just restarts out of nowhere. If the computer is idle and its just sitting there, if you wait a bit, it would eventually restart. If I'm browsing the web, my screen freezes for a couple of seconds and it just restarts. I have no idea what the cause of this is and it's getting really annoying because I can't get much work done if I'm frustrated that my computer just restarted. No warnings whatsoever.


After the restart happens, it's as if I'm turning it on for the first time of the day. No blue screens or error codes or anything, just shows a picture and the time then asks for my password and starts up as if nothing happened.


The strangest part is, it doesn't happen if I'm gaming (Counter Strike, Overwatch, etc.). I don't know why but I can be playing games for hours and nothing happens, no restarts out of the blue. I don't know why but it only happens if a game isn't open and I'm like on YouTube or browsing social media.


I've searched the web and it said to check off the box to restart if there is any Hardware issue. This does nothing. All it does is make my screen frozen and so it doesn't restart automatically and I have to manually restart it by the power button.


I'm putting this under Windows because I don't know the exact cause of this.

Random shut down and restart??

Computer: Intel (R) Pentium (R) Dual cpu
E220@2.406hz
2.42 GHZ, 2.00 GB of RAM
Windows xp

Ever since I replaced the fan (with heat sink) the computer has randomly shut down and then restarted, at first during streaming, and now, will shut down and restart anytime. I tried to replace the graphics card to no avail. *Confused *Mad

One suggestion was to replace the RAM.

Any suggestions on how to repair my computer?
