Windows 10: computer says file does not have an app associated with sd card for performing this action....

trying to download pictures off an sd card like I always have done. Now it pops up and says:"file does not have a APP associated with it for performing this action. Please install an app or if is already installed, create an association in the Default Apps Settings page"I did not change anything to have caused this problem How do I fix it?

• What file are you trying to open?

This issue is caused if the file is not associated with any of the application or program to open it.

If those files are the pictures as I can see that you are trying to access the picture folder. I suggest you to follow the below steps and check if the issue resolves.

• Right click on the file and select Open with.
• Select Photo App or Photo Gallery.
• Double click and check if you are able to open that file.

Very recently and very suddenly, whenever I try to play Sims 4 (bought through Steam) I get this error message - This file does not have an app associated with it for performing this action. Please install an app or, if one is already installed, create an association in the Default Apps Setting page. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the game restarted the computer, updated the computer, and reset the default apps. I'm not very computer savvy and I'm not sure what to do next. Any help, please?

 

Printing Hallmark cards I get this message: There is no email program associated to perform requested action"

Step 1: I suggest you to follow the below steps how to set as default app.

• In the search box, type “settings”.
• Click on “system” and on the left hand corner click on
  “default apps”.
• Under “choose default apps” click on the “+” symbol and you can
  add the apps.

Step 2: I would suggest you to follow the steps and check if the issue persists:

• 
  Press Windows key +R.
  
• 
  Type inetcpl.cpl and hit Enter.
  
• 
  Click on Programs Tab and click
  Set Programs under Internet Programs.
  
• 
  Click on Select Associate a File type or protocol with a program.
