Windows 10: Computer semi-freezes sometimes when I tab out of fullscreen applications

Sometimes Not all the time, but every now and then when I tab out, usually from a fullscreen game, the computer will semi-freeze Don't know a better word to describe it. Nothing will visually change at all on my monitors, except for the mouse icon. No buttons or actions will change the display in any way, as if its frozen, but for instance I click on an mp3 file, it won't get highlighted, nothing will visually pop up, but I can hear the mp3 file start. The best way I can describe it is semi-frozen. It's been happening for maybe the last 2 months with no certain, consistent cause. The only

Unable to Tab out of Fullscreen Games


Hello,

When I had Windows 7 I was able to press the Windows key to tab out of Fullscreen Games and Applications. With Windows 10 I am unable to tab out of Fullscreen Games and Applications. Is there a setting or something that I am missing? I have tried everything, Please Help.

Automatically moving a fullscreen window onto a new desktop

In Windows 10, there is an option to open an app in a fullscreen view. This way, it will be possible for you to make the fullscreen window move to a new desktop. Follow these steps to do so.

• Right click on the application.
• Select Properties.
• Click on the Shortcut tab.
• Beside the Run option, click on the drop-down menu and then choose Maximized.
  
• Click on Apply button and then click OK.

My computer crashes frequently when starting a fullscreen application or bluestacks

The VIDEO_TDR_ ERROR bug check has a value of 0x00000116. This indicates that an attempt to reset the display driver and recover from a timeout failed.

I suggest you to remove all the external devices except mouse and keyboard, restart the computer and check whether the issue persists or not.

If still the issue persist then follow the below steps and check if it helps.

Step 1: I suggest you to install all the latest pending Windows updates as below and check if it helps.

• Go to “settings” and click on “update and security”.
• Under tab “Windows update”, click on the icon “check for updates”.
• Then once you find the pending updates install it and check.

Step 2: Also I suggest you to update all the drivers (Display drivers) from the device manager and check if it helps.

• Press ‘Windows+X’ and go to ‘Device Manager’.
• Then you can right click on each driver and update it.
• Restart the computer and check if it helps.
