Windows 10: Computer shuts down during Windows 10 Installation or restarts

I reported this a few days ago, but subsequent troubleshooting has left me with more questions than answers.


While building a new computer, when I went to install Windows 10 Home from a USB drive created with MS Media Creator Tool, the computer always shut down between 9-26% step 2 installation.


I then restored a System image from my other computer. Restoration took over an hour and the computer stayed on with no problem.


When I booted, the computer ran for anywhere from 10 to 20 minutes then shutdown.


I then booted into 'Safe Mode' and the computer booted and remained running with no problem.


I then went into to Diskpart and 'Cleaned' the main drive on the new computer and then installed Ubuntu LInux distribution 20.04.


Computer booted and ran for hours with no problem.


I then cleaned the drive again. As soon as I started the Windows install from the USB drive, the computer shutdown.


I then installed Windows on my laptop from the same USB drive and there were no problems and it's still running.


I've been in the Windows Insider program for a long time and have installed may Windows 10 pre-builds and never had one shut my computer down.


I really need the new machine to use Windows 10 so any advice will be more than greatly appreciated.

Random shut down and restart??

Computer: Intel (R) Pentium (R) Dual cpu
E220@2.406hz
2.42 GHZ, 2.00 GB of RAM
Windows xp

Ever since I replaced the fan (with heat sink) the computer has randomly shut down and then restarted, at first during streaming, and now, will shut down and restart anytime. I tried to replace the graphics card to no avail. *Confused *Mad

One suggestion was to replace the RAM.

Any suggestions on how to repair my computer?

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx
