    Computer Shuts down randomly while gaming, appears to be a RAM issue


    My computer has been black screening frequently while playing video games. I originally thought it was a thermal issue because most of the time the computer display simply goes black, the sound continues to work for a moment and the fans begin running at a high speed. However, it does not seem to be related to temperatures as the computer does not shut down fully, it just continues to run the fans without any display. Based on this minidump file, it seems to be related to the RAM. Can anyone help me decipher this file and confirm what components could lead to this error? https://1drv.ms/u/s!Au

    Random shut down and restart??

    Computer: Intel (R) Pentium (R) Dual cpu
    E220@2.406hz
    2.42 GHZ, 2.00 GB of RAM
    Windows xp

    Ever since I replaced the fan (with heat sink) the computer has randomly shut down and then restarted, at first during streaming, and now, will shut down and restart anytime. I tried to replace the graphics card to no avail. *Confused Computer Shuts down randomly while gaming, appears to be a RAM issue :confused:*Mad Computer Shuts down randomly while gaming, appears to be a RAM issue :mad:

    One suggestion was to replace the RAM.

    Any suggestions on how to repair my computer?

    Computer randomly shutting down during gaming

    Hello,

    My computer is randomly shutting down while playing intensive games such as path of exile or guild wars 2. I will be in game, and instantly the computer screen turns black, and then restarts - no blue screen or error message.

    It happens randomly, sometimes ill go the entire night with no issues, others it will restart multiple times a night. As far as I can tell, temperatures are fine. PC is only a couple of years old, was built brand new with all new components. I don't overclock.

    Any help would be appreciated.
