Windows 10: computer shuts down while in use and makes a continuous buzzing sound.

My laptop shuts down suddenly while in use, and makes a continuous buzzing sound. It couldn't be rebooted for quite a while. However, after an hour or so, I could reboot it again. All the while the buzzing sound continued. Could this signal the motherboard is going bad?

Continuous audio buzzing but with sound!

My Toshiba had similar problems and I tried every suggestion I could trawl from the net - nothing worked!
My laptop has nVidia/Intel graphics and Realtek sound, and the continual buzz and lag on video was driving me nuts. This was no problem in Windows 7, I even reverted for a while and the issues went away.
Anyway, yesterday I was hunting on the Intel forum and someone mentioned the Intel Display Audio. This is to produce HD sound when the HDMI port is used to connect another device. In my case, it is connecting a Samsung monitor, with NO speakers. I decided to disable the Intel Display Audio in Device Manager (note, disable, not uninstall), and BINGO, buzzing gone, lag gone, stutter gone. I guess plugging-in the monitor told the system to use the Display Audio, but it was conflicting with the Realtek system sound. I really hope this helps someone.

Is it normal that I can see it 3 times? Both drivers under Keyboards and Mice and other pointing devices seems to be delivered by Microsoft. The last one is delivered by Razer.

Razer's FAQ suggests that Razer devices should be listed under Human Interface Devices:



which makes me think that Windows could've installed those other drivers before I've installed Razer Synapse.

I'm using Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Surround 5.1 Pro USB sound card for my audio device. On-Board audio is off in the bios atm.




I've installed both "Sound Blaster X-Fi Surround 5.1 Pro Software" (19th November 2019) which includes:



& "Sound Blaster X-Fi Surround 5.1 Pro Drivers" (14th September 2020) after Windows installation.

What is the best way to uninstall the Creative drivers? Is it enough to uninstall all of those Creative related things through Programs & Features?




Few days ago while uninstalling Nvidia drivers with DDU I saw that there is an option to uninstall Creative drivers as well. Is it safe to use?
