  1. computer slow after forced shutdown, nothing I tried works.

As it says, I had to force a shutdown a few days ago, and ever since, my computer has been obnoxiously slow with certain processes. It runs games just fine, but it's noticably sluggish starting them or anything up, doesn't handle browsers very well, is nigh unbearable with discord, and in general it's more trouble than I'd like to deal with. The worst part is that none of the common solutions worked. I've done sfc scannow, I've run multiple disk checks, I've even done a repair install of windows 10 and none of those fixed the godawful performance I'm getting. I can't even do a system restore

    :)

  2. Windows 10 Slow Shutdown

Ms. Ruth Buruga, I just want to report regarding your suggestion that I did not have to change ClearPageFile at Shutdown because the value is already at 0. I did change the value of WaitToKillServiceTimeout from 5000 to 1000. Then I restarted my
computer and tried shutdown. I did not notice any change. The problem is the same that my computer is too slow to shutdown. Anyway, thanks. Rudy Catinidg.

Computer Force shutdowns during windows update

    Hi all,

My computer shuts off during a windows update in a forceful manner, where there is an electric click sound while it is configuring windows after it reboots. It is like the type of shutdown you get when you hold down the power button for a hard restart. Although
it says it will restart during the update, my computer does it in a forceful manner, and ends up failing the update, as it is "Restoring to previous version of Windows". It has been happening for the past few updates now, and requires several tries before
it finally installs. Can anyone suggest why and whether there are any solutions?

    Thanks.
