Windows 10: Computer stuck in LIMBO, please help me deleted all permissions.

I accidentally deleted all the permissions from my laptop.

Now I can't do much of anything on it anymore.


Whenever I login I get this message: "WE CAN'T SIGN IN TO YOUR ACCOUNT. This problem can often be fixed by signing out of your account and then signing back in. If you don't sign out now, any files or changes you make will be lost."


I've tried restarting and signing back in, still the same message.

The windows icon doesn't open up on the main desktop when I login; because of this the pc can only be shut off by holding the power button.

I've tried running multiple 'repair' programs from a separate USB drive but it wont allow me to.

I've tried using different commands using Windows Powershell and cmd to no avail.

I've tried using the appropriate Fx keys and ASUS program built in for Windows repairs but it didn't work.

Basically whenever I try to do anything such as change any settings or launch a program, I always get the "you currently don't have permissions to do 'said action'".


I'm sorry I can't remember specific details, my pc has been stuck like this for almost a whole year now. I tried fixing it months ago but nothing worked. There is no hardware issues in case you wondered.

Is there any chance of saving my laptop? Should I send it in for repairs to Microsoft or a local pc repair guy?

Limbo bug

OOOOOOOO I thought the bug was being refered to as the limbo bug (Like stuck in limbo..).. not the game limbo having a bug

 

is it possible to hand build a motherboard?

Might I suggest you simply build a computer, making notes and taking pictures step by step. Most people (probably including your teacher) have no idea even where to start building a computer. You'll do fine, and if you get stuck we're here to help ya out! *Toast :toast:

 

Unable to delete a folder - Invalid folder name


Suggestion:

1. Run chkdsk x: /r to make sure that there's no HD corruption.
   x: is the drive containing the folder you want to delete.
2. Try to delete the folder again. If still does not work, go to step 3.
3. Download: Download - Linux Mint and create a bootable USB using: Rufus - Create bootable USB
4. Boot up with Linux Mint and try to delete the folder again.
   NOTE: Unlike WinPE. Linux does not have any Windows permission imposed to it so it is easier to delete.
