Windows 10: computer stuck rebooting 25% into 20H2 update

about four hours ago, i had decided that it was finally time to let my computer update just to get the pop up reminders to leave me alone. about an hour in, at 25% progress, my computer restarts. and restarts. and restarts. it's been doing this for a little under two hours. it never gets to windows. it actually stops and reboots right before the point where windows would start. there was no blue screen either, as far as i can tell. all i get is the lenovo screen and the cursor that flashes momentarily. most solutions i've found required that you could log in or boot into safe mode, but my computer doesn't get that far now. i've tried unplugging all usb devices, but my keyboard is usb, so the motherboard would beep every time it restarted with nothing else changed. the computer itself is around three years old, and is not the best by any means, but it still worked really well up until now. i believe it was version 2004 updating to 20H2. google searching this problem has yielded nothing. any help would be greatly appreciated, as i can't really afford to get a new computer right now. if there's any more information i'm missing that would help, please let me know.

Computer stuck on Gateway's logo during reboot

After the Windows 10 update yesterday, my computer won't reboot - it's stuck at the manufacturer's logo (Gateway). I've tried restarting numerous times to no avail - tried to get into safe mode by the rebooting three times but since the computer gets
stuck at the logo it doesn't give me the option to go into safe mode. Any suggestions?
