Windows 10: computer takes a long time to boot from sleep mode

Hello, I have a windows desktop and have been having an issue with it loading from sleep mode. when I click the mouse/keyboard to start the pc back up, it takes a good 3-5 mins before the screen fires up to the sign in screen. The PC itself wakes up, just doesn't wake up the screen. It is tremendously faster for me to shut down the computer and then start it back up every time I use it, but that is not very practical. I was having this issue with windows 10, and the issue continued when i updated to 11the update fixed an issue i had with the screen flashing on and off for 5 mins every time i

Computer Shuts Down When Woken From Sleep Mode

Hi,

To help resolve your issue, we suggest you follow the steps below:

Method 1:Run
power troubleshooter

• 
  On the search bar,type
  “Troubleshooting”
  
• 
  Click
  “View All”
  on the left panel.
  
• 
  Click
  Power,a new window will popup.
  
• 
  Follow the on-screen instructions.
  

Method 2: Safe mode

Check if issue persists in safe mode. To go to safe mode, follow these steps:

• 
  Open Run Command (Windows
  button +R)
  
• 
  A dialog box will open, type
  msconfig.
  
• 
  Locate and select the Boot tab and select Safe with Minimal as option.
  
• 
  Restart Computer.
  

Note:Follow
the same procedure to undo Safe Mode, uncheck the Safe option and restart your system.

Method 3: Clean boot

If the issue does not occur in safe mode, kindly check in clean boot. To place your computer in clean boot, refer

Note:
Once you are done with the troubleshooting, perform the steps in “How to

After Windows 10 Anniversary Update Computer Not Sleeping

Hello.

Does disabling the HID-Complaint Touch Screen driver resolves the issue? If yes, we suggest that you disable it and see if your device go into Sleep mode after a period of inactivity.

We also suggest to check if the settings of the Power Options of your device are set so that the device will go into Sleep mode after a period of time. You may follow the steps below to check is Sleep mode is enabled on your device:

• Press the Windows button + X, then click on
  Power Options.
• Click Change when the computer
  sleeps.
• Change the settings to your preferred settings.
