  1. Computer takes over 16 hours to reset.

Hello. I'm asking for help on behalf of my boyfriend whos desktop computer has been resetting overnight and for over 16 hours now. It's a gaming PC although I don't know the specific hardware or components it's made up of, but it's pretty strong. His PC is about 1 year or 1,5 years old and was built with the help of his brother. But lately there has been issues with the PC taking an unusually long time to turn on and restart. Some programs wouldn't open when clicked on and the task manager would fail to answer. My boyfriend decided to reset the PC without keeping files. It has since been over

    :)

  2. BSOD and reboot every 24 hours and 16 minutes

I just saw on another forum a suggestion to turn on silent mode in Norton and keep resetting it every 24 hours. I will try this to see if my computer avoids the reboot that will likely occur next around 7:13 tonight.

  3. Trouble Resetting computer : 16% install after HOURS

I currently have an HP laptop , which I believe originally had Windows 8.1 installed when I cracked open the box. I eventually did the Windows 10 download and upgrade which was offered free during the promotional offer back in 2014.

I've been experiencing lots of lags and slowdowns lately, so today I decided to do a Reset. I saved all my files and folders using an external hard drive....then did the reset cleaning everything off of.my computer. It took quite a while, to clean....then
I received the black screen with the HP logo and rhe rotating circle of dots. Now, my computer stares I am at 10% install, with a message below that I am 16% installed.....something about drivers. The problem is, I have been at this percentage....or HOURS.
Please, I could really use some help. My husband thinks I am the IT department, so the responsibility falls on me to fix problems. Can anyone point me in a direction on what to do to resolve? Thanks in advance.
