Windows 10: Computer taking forever to load on startup

Whenever I turn on my computer or restart it, it takes forever to load, and when I do finally get to my desktop, I have to wait another 5 or so minutes to be able to do anything.My brother has the exact same PC as me, but it never happens to him.Does anyone know why this happens and how I can fix it?

Defrag. Check your startup list. Disable some services you don't need.

 

apps takes forever to load

After clicking an icon it takes forever to load the app and after a few minutes the app still remains closed.

 

Start/chrome/anything and it takes forever to load and cursor is slow at responding at times.

Method 1: Windows has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with system. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with your System Maintenance.

• Press Windows key +X, select Control panel.
• Change the view by option on the top right to Large icons.
• Click on troubleshooting and click on the view all option on the left panel.
• Run the System Maintenance troubleshooter.

Method 2: I suggest you to start you system in safe mode and check if the issue persist or not.

• To start your system in safe mode follow the below steps:
• Press and hold Shift key and restart your Computer.
• Select Troubleshoot.
• Select Advance Option.
• Select Startup Settings.
• Follow the on Screen instruction.
