Windows 10: Computer thinks keyboard is being used when its not.

I'm having an issue where my computer is acting like I'm pressing or holding down keys on my keyboard. This seems to happen randomly, and the only solution I've found is to restart my computer. I'm pretty sure the keys that are inputted are the same every time too. The same things keep happening. Here is a list of what happens:- My browser opens several new tabs, specifically of Microsoft365 and Linkedin.- Microsoft Word opens.- Microsoft PowerPoint opens.- The Narrator opens.- When I try to switch tabs on my browser, it instead highlights the tab I am on and any I click on.There may be other

As per your query, I suggest you to try removing English US language pack and check if it helps.

Follow the below steps.

• 
  Press Windows + X on your keyboard.
  
• 
  Select Control panel.
  
• 
  Select language.
  
• 
  Click on the Option adjacent to the
  English US.
  
• 
  Click on remove under input method.

Issue with typing using keyboard

• Which web browser are you using?
• Are you facing this issue on all the web browsers?

This issue could have occurred due to these reasons:

1. Damaged hardware.

2. Missing Windows Updates.

3. Corrupt keyboard driver.

Try the steps listed here:

Method 1:

I would suggest you to connect an external keyboard and check if the issue persists or not.

Method 2:

If the issue persists, I suggest you to download and install all available Windows Updates and devices drivers from the computer manufacturer website.

Method 3:

If the issue persists, I suggest you to download and install latest keyboard driver from the manufacturer website and check if it helps.

Please let us know the make and model of your device.

This issue might be due to corrupted or outdated drivers. I suggest you to follow the steps below and check.

Step 1: Run the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter.

• Click on the Start button, and type “Troubleshooting” on the search bar.
• Click on troubleshooting, then click on “Hardware and Devices”.
• A pop-up will appear, click on the “Next” button and your hardware troubleshooting will start.

Step 2: Update keyboard drivers.

• 
  Press Windows key + X and select
  Device Manager from the list.
  
• 
  Expand ‘Keyboard’ from the list.
  
• 
  Right click on the driver and select ‘update driver software’ and follow the prompts.
