Windows 10: Computer Time Displays as Letters

On a family members laptop loaded with Windows 10, the computer time briefly displayed in letters rather than numbers. The letters also changed randomly to another set of letters. The image i was sent it not entirely clear unfortunately however it looks like NASHAM?

I would like to ask if the issue persists every time you start the computer.

I suggest you to change the resolution of the screen by following the below steps and check if it helps.

• Right click on Desktop and select “Display Settings”.
• Under Display settings click on “Advanced Display Settings”.
• Under resolution select the resolution which is feasible and save the changes.

Another way to change the size of the letters is by holding the Ctrl key and using the scroll button in the Mouse.

help. USB drive isn't assigned a drive letter.

Any usb flash drive I plug into my computer isn't assigned a drive letter. The physical drive shows in the "safely remove hardware" but it doesnt show up in disk management. I have tried to populate the volume thru the safely remove hardware properties window and it does pop up in the list but it doesn't stay there. This isn't a format or assign a letter problem. It's more complicated then that. Maybe one of the services needed for usb drive management was disabled? Suggestions needed. btw external usb harddrives work fine.

To increase the display timeout, I suggest that you follow the steps below:

• Select Desktop and click Personalization.
• Select Lock Screen, then Click on Screen time out settings.
• Change the required time in the drop down under Screen.
