Windows 10: Computer turning off at random times - No error code unfortunately

Hi guys

I have been having a bit of problem with my computer - I have windows 10 installed

It feels like approximately every second night my computer is turning off by itself at night and I have no reason why - I was wondering if any one could have a quick look at the zip

It has once this week turned off for me during the day when I was using the computer

-I always leave this computer on so had a little theory it could be the power supply?

Question about Windows 10

Lacrumb, I've just tried this. I turned my sync settings off, saved a random file on my computer to test it out, I checked to see if it was on her computer and it was. This unfortunately didn't work.

my computer will shut down own it's own at random times. most of the time I have to turn off the power before I can reboot

This has all the hallmarks of a loss of power. Whether that's due to a fault in the power supply, a wiring fault in your home or an interruption in the supply from your power company I can't tell. If you happen to be using a UPS, then that eliminates outside factors and points to a faulty power supply.

As an experiment, pull the power plug and deliberately cut the power. Now restore the power. Does the system reboot immediately? If not and you have to manually turn it on again it could be a power cut that causes your headaches. If it does reboot immediately, then you can eliminate any external cause and finger the power supply as the likely culprit.

PS: The reason I ask for this experiment is that most of the reports of an unexpected shutdown were made quite some time after the shutdown time they report. This suggest you restarted the PC yourself when you noticed it had stopped. I'm guessing (if it had been due to a power cut) the power would have been restored long before that.

Its definitely not the power at home (wish it was!) because my other computer is not turning off!??

So ive been taking the power cable out of the power box and plugging it back in but the computer has never turned back on - So based on what you said since its not turning back on, it could of been external causes?
