Windows 10: Computer turns off when I press the keyboard to hard.

So I recently discovered a bug of sorts when I am using my computer. If I am typing, and hit the keyboard to hard, the entire computer shuts down. This also happens if I set the computer down to hard down on a surface. I tried finding a solution, however I can't seem to find anything on this exact issue. Any ideas on what may be causing it and a potential solution?

I'd definitely give a different keyboard & mouse a try as airman suggested. They definitely sound a bit suspect.

To address your concern, we suggest that you try the following steps:

• Click Start and then click Settings
• Click on Ease of access
• Click Keyboard in the left pane
• Turn off Filter Keys in the right pane

Also, try pressing the Fn+ Num Lock keys to turn off the Number lock function.

As an initial troubleshooting step, try to turn off the OSK by following the below steps:

• Select “Start” and select “Settings“.
• Choose “Ease of Access“.
• Select “Keyboard“.
• Set “On-Screen Keyboard” to “On” or “Off” as desired.
