Windows 10: Computer updated to windows 11 and now it won’t let me put in my password, just a pin!!!

I have been using my computer and putting in my password without issue for about 2 years. No issues, but windows forced the windows 11 update and now when I turn the computer on it asks me for a pin and doesn’t offer me an option to put in my password. I do not recall ever creating a pin, and if I did some time years ago I do not know what it was. I just have my password. I tried holding something while resetting the computer to try and click “uninstall update” and it will not let me uninstall the update. What can i do?

After Windows 10 update, signin screen won`t accept my pssword.

Sign-in screen won`t take my password after Windows 10 update on a new HP laptop. I had setup a pin login but now asks for Microsoft password which I wrote down and have used before but will not accept now.

Windows 11 needs PIN - lost PIN & Password - Help!

To reset a forgotten PIN code, please complete these steps: (Require your phone number.)

Step 1: On the Windows 11 login screen, click “I forgot my PIN” under the PIN password box.

Step 2: Enter your user account password and then click “Sign in”.

Step 3: you need to verify your identity, choose a way to receive code and continue.

Step 4: If you choose your phone number, enter the last 4 digits of the phone number. Then click “Send code”.

Step 5: You will receive a code in seconds. Type in your received code and then click “Verify”.

Step 6: Select “Continue”.

Step 7: Type in a new PIN and type it again to confirm. Then click “OK”. The new PIN password is working now.
