Windows 10: Computer will not stay connected to the internet

After connecting to the NBN I cannot get my computer to stay connected to the internet. It drops out after about 15 or so minutes. When I run the trouble shooter it quickly reconnects but I would like a stable connection.

I have tried the online help but after 2 different fixes that requires disconnecting the chat and 6 hour spent wait to chat I am quickly running low on -patience.

1. Open Admin command and type: ipconfig
   
   
   
2. Win+X->Control Panel->Netwok and Sharing Center
   Follow the screen shot. This should disable internet access from this PC but allows access to local device(s)
   NOTE: Use the IP & Subnet Mask from step 1. Leave Default gateway & DNS Server blank

I have followed the steps you listed, and there hasn't been a change in the internet connectivity problem. However, I did notice after entering "ipconfig /release" there was a section that popped up, that said

"No operation can be performed on Local Area Connection* 1 while it has its media disconnected.

No operation can be performed on Local Area Connection* 2 while it has its media disconnected"

perhaps this is an indication of the problem, or let me know if there's any other information I could look for that could help.

 

Is it possible to share internet connection via remote desktop?

RDP is not capable of Internet sharing, so you can't share Internet using RDP with standard applications. There are many way to share Internet from a Windows box to another one. I suggest you to use VPN. You should do following steps:

1. Run VPN Server on your server with unlimited internet access
   
2. Connect to VPN server from your limited computer
