  1. Computer with Windows 10 64-Bit OS 19041.264 Will Not Stay Asleep

I've a new computer that I built that's running Windows 10 64-bit Pro with a 19041.264 Build of the OS. Sometimes, the computer will go to sleep based on the sleep settings that I've set or via being put to sleep with the key combination Windows key-X-U-S and will stay asleep for extended periods of time until I wake it. On other occasions, like today, the computer will only go to sleep for short periods of time and then will wake, go back to sleep, and then wake again after a short sleep period and the cycle repeats. Today, the computer has awakened 27 times and has only stayed asleep for typically 11 minutes and 2-6 seconds. It has awakened like clockwork during these episodes. See the table below which I pasted in from my powercfg system sleep diagnostics report.

What is going on here? What do I need to do to prevent these frequent wake cycles? The culprit appears to be MoUsoCoreWorker.exe, a Microsoft executable. What can I do to prevent CoreWorker from continually and annoyingly waking the computer? Why does the computer stay asleep for hours at a time yesterday 2020.06.07 where it woke only 4 times, yet wake 27 times today staying asleep only ~11 minutes each time?

Note: I don't think it's software updates, because I check for software updates frequently.

  2. Computer Won't Stay Asleep

    Hi,

Computer won't stay asleep due to countless culprits: an accidental swipe of the mouse, a scheduled system task, and any number of other weird settings that reside in Windows' power options. To fix the issue, you may disable the Ethernet adapter's so that system
may stay asleep. To do so, you may follow the steps below:

    1. Open the Windows Device Manager.

    2. Click the plus next to Network adapters, then find the Ethernet adapter for your system.

    3. Right-click the adapter name and choose Properties.

    4. Click the Power Management tab, then clear the checkbox next to Allow this device to wake the computer.

    5. Click OK, then restart the computer.

    Update us with the result.
