Windows 10: Computer won't restart after windows updates on August 5, 2023.

I installed a set of Windows 10 updates August 5 2023 and when my pc restarted everything was on only one of my desktops I have two monitors. I first tried to detect the 2nd monitor and it could not be found. Then I performed a trouble shoot and it said the drivers on my video card on my pc needed to be updated. However when I told it to update, it said it already was. So I restarted my computer and this time I just have a black screen with the circle of doom rotating dots. I then performed a hard shut down until I got the Recovery Environment. However no matter what I choose unin

Windows updates won't install!

I had the same problem when i repaired my O/S, i forgot the steps on how to fixed it, but it is in the microsoft support forum.

You have to reinstall the windows updater, then restart the updating service.

Laptop went black and won;t reboot

Hardware and software conflict is one of the possible reasons why you're experiencing black screen. Sometimes, it is also because of hardware failure. To get this issue fixed, we suggest that you
boot into Safe Mode by following these steps:

• Turn off your computer 3 times while booting. Windows should automatically boot to the Recovery Environment after 3 unsuccessful attempts in a row.
  
• Once you are within the Recovery Environment, select Troubleshoot, and then
  Advanced options, then Startup Settings, and
  Restart. When it restarts, you should see a number of options. Press 5 or F5 for
  Safe Mode with Networking.

Once your computer is in Safe Mode, please follow the workaround provided on this
link. Simply select the similar case that you're experiencing to show the troubleshooting steps.
